Custom Display Automation

IWEISS was approached to create an automation solution for a 16,000lbs display at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC.

The display footprint is 37’w x 7’ deep and hold 16,000lbs of custom etched glass and LEDs.

IWEISS provided engineering of the winch and electrical cable management system. The unit included a dual motor line-shaft with pivoting zero fleet sheaves and absolute encoding positioning.
